What to Expect

Treatment begins with a comprehensive evaluation and the collaborative setting of goals. Thereafter, each therapy session is tailored to specific needs.

A typical one-hour session begins with "checking in" to determine how you are feeling physically and emotionally. Focused breathing or a centering meditation will help you calm your body and mind, or promote greater energy, so that you can better focus on the issues at hand.

Along with ample time to process events and emotions, yoga postures or other movement may be utilized to facilitate balance, grounding, strength, energy, or calm in both the body AND the mind.

The session ends with verbal affirmation, and the assignment of a "take home" practice. Progress and goals are re-evaluated regularly to ensure that therapy is optimally effective.
