About Cheryl

With 27 years of experience as an outpatient mental health counselor, Cheryl Rowland (LPC, RYT 200) uses a holistic view (body, mind, spirit) with a gentle, nurturing approach in order to help her clients connect with their inner resilience and their own unique path. She works to build an authentic relationship with each client and strives to embody empathy, optimism, and acceptance.

Cheryl received her master’s degree in counseling from McDaniel College and has been a licensed therapist since 2003. In addition to her formal education, Cheryl has received specialized training in mind-body interventions including mindfulness meditation, and relaxation practices. She is a registered yoga teacher and incorporates gentle yoga postures and breathwork into her counseling to help clients connect with themselves and the present moment.
